• Any Doctor/Dentist registered with HPCSA may perform procedures at Welkom Medical Centre.
  • 2 fully equipped theatres are available, as well as 2 procedure rooms, with gypsona trap.
  • The following equipment is also available:

              - C-Arm x-ray machine
              - Dental x-ray machine
              - Microscope for ENT Surgery
              - Microscope for Eye Surgery

  • Scheduled lists can be arranged with Sr L Gebhardt, Hospital Manager at 057 352 8777.
  • Individual theatre cases can also be arranged with Sr Gebhardt.
  • Light breakfast/lunch is supplied for doctors/dentists before/after a theatre list.
  • Theatre lists commence at 07h00 and should end at 16h00 to enable staff to clean and prepare theatres and wards for the next day.
  • Please provide your patients with the following information in order for them to obtain the authorisations:

             - Doctor’s Practice Name
             - Doctor’s Practice Code
             - Procedure codes
                                - BHF
                                - CPT4
                                - ICD10

  • Patients are requested to do their pre-bookings at least 24 hours before the procedure.
  • Please advise patients that they may not drive for 24 hours after anaesthetics and that they have to arrange for transport home.
  • Doctors are welcome to contact Sr Gebhardt for a quotation for patients without a medical aid.
