Dialysis Unit
The dialysis unit is situated adjacent to the hospital and provides state-of-the art dialysis support for both in- and out-patients.
Endoscopy Unit
The unit has been equipped with Double Balloon Endoscopy, as well as Endoscopic Ultrasound equipment and is staffed by medical and surgical gastroenterologists, each with their own area of expertise, focusing on early diagnosis of the following Gastro Intestinal Disorders:
- Colorectal cancer
- Acid-related diseases
- Inflammatory Bowel Disease
- Stomach and oesophageal malignancies
- Chronic diarrhoea and Coeliac Disease
Oncology Unit
The hospital has a group of Adult Medical Oncologists, as well as Paediatric Oncologists, who provide state of the art treatment to a wide range of patients.
Surgical Gastroenterology Unit
The hospital boasts a unit of surgical gastroenterologists, with a particular emphasis of Hepatobiliary Surgery and Colorectal surgery.
Transplant Unit
The unit specialises in kidney, pancreas and liver transplants. The unit makes use of the services of an entire team of specially trained nurses, Anaesthetists and surgeons, supported by a comprehensive array of complementary services, e.g. rehabilitation, dietetics and dialysis. The unit is also involved in the procurement of both solid organs and tissue such as cornea and bone.
